One last teeny post I promise!

Hi Folks,

I seem to be the queen of teeny tiny little posts and reposts at the moment but it’s not my fault there are quality life lessons and excellent writing going free for grabs…I need to share it! Here’s something that I found in today’s RSS Feed Reader inbox. I can’t help but share when there are fundamental truths twitching behind my eyes and this little baby set off jangling bells. Wise words to live by and something to aim for. We often forget to really live and make do with merely existing. Remember…we only get 1 ride of this crazy careening carousel we call life and we had best enjoy that ride to the max because once we get off at the end there aint no more folks!

I might have to start sharing more of these if people actually like them…might help me to make my posts a bit more manageable as well as I would have less to rabbit on about ๐Ÿ˜‰

Lol. That expression just reminded me of my Dad…he used to ask me “What the hell are you rabbiting on about now!?”

I think we had the same dad. If you tell me that your dad used to say “Stiffen the bandicoots!” and “Stone the crows!” I am going to have to add your birthday to the calendar and call you “Sis” ๐Ÿ˜‰

Lol, nope, never heard those. But, if you send chocolates to everyone on your calender for their birthday, you can add me and call me Sis anytime you like!

Nice Fronkiii. The art of getting back up, when all you feel like doing is rolling in a horizontal position because you lack the energy or desire to get up and be smacked down again. Trying to fly under the radar of others judgement. Lovely post and very inspiring. Love you xoxox

Hi Fran. It is so weird that something as fundamental as living – something we all do, needs a reminder like this! It’s like every now and then getting a reality check to see with we are breathing properly, only to find out we aren’t.
Life is Good. Cheers Sarah : o )

You are SO right (as usual) Sarah :). I think we all get so caught up in the act of living that we don’t appreciate the fact that the odds that we are all here, doing whatever it is that we are doing are infentisimally tiny (probably spelt that wrong…sorry ๐Ÿ˜‰ ). Stopping to smell the roses and pull a few weeds goes a long way to reminding us to be grateful for this precious “thing” that we do every day in between waking up and heading knackered to bed.

My latest MS flare up was a bit of a wake up call. I was rushing around doing too much, and now I have to walk a slower pace and am still getting things done, but I am noticing more things, sights and smells. I am enjoying slow and choosing to do the important and letting go of the unimportant that often wastes most of our time, It seems like a better way to be.

MS is certainly a massive wakeup call. So is getting older. Funny how you hit 50 (well I did ๐Ÿ˜‰ ) and you start to look at life and suddenly being the thinest, the sexiest and the most likely to bake the best cake doesn’t really seem to matter any more isn’t it? Leaving a positive mark here so that when we are gone and are so much dust, we live on in our children’s children as legends of how to live. THAT is what is important…living the best life we can right now because none of us know how long we have here to do so. Hugs from your neighbour across the salty creek ๐Ÿ™‚
